We have carefully selected a small team of experienced, patient and friendly instructors who are ready to discover your learning goals. Our team has worked all around the world and each instructor brings their passion for creating a premium learning experience to your lesson. Along with this, our ski and snowboard instructors are happy to go the extra mile to make your Niseko trip one to remember. This can include recommendations for lunch spots, areas to find the best snow and taking pictures of your experience to name a few.
Experienced Instructors
At Hokkaido Core, we hire experienced instructors as we know this leads to a seamless, high quality experience for you, our guest. Our team have spent many years in the snowsports industry honing their teaching and guest service skills, so that you get the private lesson that you and your family deserve. Our instructors have a wealth of knowledge built up over the years, and are ready to use their experience to create amazing snow experiences for you.
Our instructors create progressive learning plans. This means that you’ll be able to learn at your own pace and in a way that makes sense to you. The advantage of a private lesson is that the learning is unique to yourself. Everyone learns in different ways, some like explanations, while others prefer to watch, or try themselves. An experienced instructor will understand your strongest method of learning and focus on that.
Experience allows our team to pinpoint skiing or snowboarding issues early on, allowing you to get the most from your private lessons. Being able to explain any issues early in the lesson and create a plan of improvement is key to maximising your time with an experienced instructor.

Because of this we have a company culture of safe practices. Our instructors are well experienced in creating a safe progression of your skills so that you’ll feel confident to try new things in a safe area of the resort.
During lessons, your instructor will be keeping a keen eye on your energy and ability levels. They’ll be sure to use techniques and ski exercises that are safely attainable for you.
When looking after your children during ski and snowboard lessons, your instructor will take the upmost care of them. Instructors act as prudent parents when taking care of children to ensure that they return to you happy and healthy. Our instructors fully embrace the priorities of safety, fun and learning.

We understand that some people want to ski from opening to close, while others prefer a leisurely pace enjoying coffee breaks and view points. Our instructors main goal is for you to develop a passion for skiing or snowboarding that is unique to yourself.

Our team is certainly happy to go at your pace when teaching. If you would like more time on the same ski run to boost your confidence, or if you need to repeat an exercise a few more times to really understand it, this is never a problem for us.
We know that everyone learns at different speeds and we are more than happy to go at yours. After all, the most important thing about skiing and snowboarding is that you’re having fun and enjoying yourself!
